Lanzarote special! Volcanic rocks, minerals, gemstones and flowing lava.

Welcome Everyone! Today I have a special post thanks to a very dear friend Olle :)

Whilst on holiday and Olle has harvested a beautiful collection of volcanic rocks, minerals, and crystals, and gifted me these special findings.

The first set being olivine and moving through cooled magma, a beautiful mineral needing identification, more amazing chunks of cooled magma, one being shaped like a drip or tooth/claw!

The mineral which needs identification:

Back to more pieces showing cooled lava flow:

The lava drip:

A fossil with shell fragments:

More volcanic rocks, with great detail showing internal structure of cooled lava:

Some black sand made of the tiny black volcanic rock fragments, interspersed with olivine and other different mineral and crystal particles:

Amazing and beautiful finds which I am very grateful to Olle for, and to collect whilst on a holiday means a lot!

Thanks to everyone again for the pluses and comments, I'm sure there's a way to follow my blog directly from blogspot, but either way will be posting publicly and to all friends.

Take care everyone and see you again soon :)
